My name is Mason. I learned that
the bark on a birch tree can peel off easily and the birch tree can grow to be
70 or 80 feet high. My favorite subject is math. My favorite book is Holes.
I like when they find the treasure. It is very good. You should read it. I like when we study
light and sound. These are some of the things I like.
Another thing I like is poetry. In
poetry there a lot of things we did like haiku, cinquain, metaphors and simile.
My classroom number is room 8. My hobbies are baseball, basketball and soccer.
They are my favorite sports. My favorite subject is math. In science we are
doing electricity. We are learning about
some kinds of circuits. That is what I
like in school.

Hi Mason! I am so glad you like the poetry unit! Your writing has been very well done. Holes is one of my favorite books as well. When I used to teach 6th grade English, we read Holes and then had a "Hole-y Picnic". We ate only food with holes...so bagel sandwiches, tortellini salad and doughnuts! Have a great weekend!
